Last Tuesday (June 16, 2020), Ms. Minh Duc Duong – Business Development Manager at INGINE, spoke at the virtual Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) 2020. Her presentation on wave energy in Vietnam took place during the forum’s Session 3.1 – Harnessing the Oceans.
The session received much attention from clean energy professionals and officials from all over the world, with approximately 250 viewers in real time. Ms. Duong was the first speaker of the panel, during which she introduced INGINE’s WEC device INWaveTM and explained how wave resources can be harnessed in An Binh island, Vietnam, in combination with solar energy. She also showed how INGINE‘s experience and partnerships in An Binh could be a blueprint for other remote islands to achieve and afford energy independence, and to reinforce local development through a more diversified renewable energy mix.
The ongoing Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) is organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). This year, due to the spread of COVID-19, ACEF is held virtually – allowing participants to network and exchange ideas for addressing energy challenges in Asia and the Pacific. More than 4,600 have registered on the virtual ACEF platform provided by ADB.
